today is a big day for Ira Ryan Cycles. over the last 7 months or so, i have been working with Rapha and Tony Pereira cycles to build the ultimate conti style bike. today the project was shown to the world and as of now we have sold a handful of bikes. the bike is designed and built by tony and myself between our two shops in north portland. the bikes are stock sizes and painted in the classic continental style. gloss black with all the trimmings from chris king, fsa and sram components. each frame and fork is built with columbus tubing and lugs to create a light, strong and dependable bicycle. the bike comes complete with the new aluminum pdw fenders also painted to match the style of the bike.
both tony and i have not only been builders but also riders for the continental project for over 4 years. we know what it takes for a bicycle to stand up to the rigors of gravel, climbing and desending some of the best roads in the world. we put all of this expereince into this bicycle and encourage you to use this bike everyday in all conditions. cycle exif also has a great write up on the new bike.
